Counseling

Our counseling staff here at Grandview is dedicated to working with students, partnering with families, and collaborating with staff to better support students' mental health & wellness. We provide a variety of interventions meant to support students in the school setting. These interventions, among others, may include: 

• Short-term individual counseling (typically 6-8 weeks)
• Small-groups (typically 6-8 weeks) aimed at building specific skills
• Advocating for student’s needs in the classroom
• Partnering with parents to understand how to best support their student
• Providing referrals to outside agencies
• Referring, evaluating, and writing 504 plans for students

Our ultimate goal is to ensure students have what they need to feel supported at school, while building skills that will carry over into their everyday life. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to a counselor if you have any questions or your student needs support at school.

Resource

Resource is designed to help meet the needs of each individual student by focusing on their targeted goals. This provides support so students are successful at school. Our focus is on building upon a student’s strengths to help them grow in their learning.

RISE

In RISE we believe in the potential of every one of our students. Our dedicated autism room is designed to create a nurturing and inclusive environment for our students. We focus on fostering independence, social skills and personal academic growth that is tailored to fit each individual student's needs. Our team works closely with our students during structured activities, while also incorporating a variety of sensory learning experiences that promote engagement while making learning fun. 

ELD

As a member of the English Language Development team at Weld RE-4, I am excited to support our linguistically diverse students at Grandview Elementary. My goal is to ensure that every Multilingual Learner has equal access to the rich educational opportunities our district offers.

We are proud to have families in our community speaking over 30 different languages, including Spanish, Chinese Mandarin, Vietnamese, Polish, and more. This diversity enriches our school environment and enhances the learning experience for all students.

I provide language instruction that aligns with Colorado’s English Language Proficiency Standards. My focus is on developing skills in four key areas: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. This may involve small group instruction, in-class support, or specialized language classes, tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
